APCP Media and Information group is looking for a member who may be interested in the role of Newsletter Editor.
We are looking for a member to join the current Media and Information group and work in conjunction with the administrators, the public relations officer and both regional and specialist committees to produce our regular e-newsletter. There could be scope to help shape our communication strategy and input into wider social media channels if interested.
The newsletter communicates information about APCP, general news items that may be of interest to our membership, reviews of courses and summaries of regional and specialist committee activities.
The Newsletter Editor will attend four National Committee meetings in January, April (Working Weekend), July and November (as part of the annual APCP conference) and other activities as necessary.
Other specific roles for the Newsletter Editor are:
• Liaise with and coordinate the National Committee and Media and Information Committee regards inclusions.
• Set dates for publication of the newsletter with deadlines for articles.
• Ensure sufficient content for each newsletter, seeking authors or news articles as well as procuring the regional rep and special committee reports requested.
• Liaise with charities, sports groups and other outside agencies for up to date information to disseminate.
• Liaise with the Journal Editor regards articles submitted that may be more appropriate for the newsletter.
