This Level II (Advancing Your Practice) course is aimed at band 6/ 7’s either working in the MSK Paediatrics or in MSK Adults, who are regularly seeing children and adolescents with foot and ankle conditions. Delegates would be expected to have a basic knowledge of assessment and treatment of foot and ankle pathology:
Learning outcomes:
- To develop an enhanced understanding of foot/ankle anatomy, gait analysis and functional assessment in the child and adolescents
- To apply evidence-based practice in effective treatment/management of foot and ankle pathologies in children and adolescents
- To demonstrate a systematic approach when assessing a baby toddler, child or adolescent foot and ankle.
- To utilise clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis for foot and ankle pathologies in children and adolescents
- Understand when to refer and sign post on to appropriate health care professionals for further investigation or intervention.
