Why is movement important?
From the very beginning in life, movement is an important part of all of our lives.
Through movement we learn a lot about ourselves, and the world around us.
We also learn a lot about each other through movement.
Movement can help support interaction and strengthen relationships
Movement is also important for healthy growth and development
Movement is not just about physical activity and exercise. Movement experiences come in many different forms. For babies and young children different movement experiences may include being held in a different position or being pushed in a pushchair.
