This guideline, which was published in June 2015, covers diagnosing and managing bronchiolitis in children. It aims to help healthcare professionals diagnose bronchiolitis and identify if children should be cared for at home or in hospital. It describes treatments and interventions that can be used to help with the symptoms of bronchiolitis.
The guideline was checked in August 2019 and NICE have announced that the guideline will be updated. The update will focus on safe and effective levels of oxygen saturation when discharging patients.
For further information about the reasons for the update, see the NICE website.
