What is it?
A training course covering goal setting and standardised measures suitable for use with children with cerebral palsy.
Who is it for?
Paediatric physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
Pre-course requirements – previous clinical experience of children with cerebral palsy
AIM:
To extend course participants knowledge of currently available outcome measures suitable for the child with cerebral palsy and to further refine their goal setting skills
Learning Outcomes:
- To refine goal setting skills and be able to apply Goal Attainment scaling for the child with cerebral palsy.
- To demonstrate knowledge of a range of standardised outcome measures valid for the child with cerebral palsy (gross motor, daily activities, participation, and quality of life).
- To be able to select measures appropriate for individual children
- To demonstrate knowledge of the key strategies that can increase therapist’s use of outcome measures
How will the course be taught?
Lectures, practical workshops and video presentations.

This course may involve participants practising administering some test items on each other, therefore please wear comfortable non-restrictive clothing.
