CURRENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Sasha Lewis
Regional Co-Chair
Sasha qualified as a physiotherapist from St Georges University of London in 2009. She has been working in paediatrics for the last four years. She is currently working as a Band 7 in a community trust, as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team, working across school, clinic and community settings.
Sasha believes that the APCP is a valuable forum for promoting an opportunity to network with other paediatric physiotherapists. She thinks that the APCP London Region's evening lecture programme, provides an excellent opportunity for paediatric therapists from a variety of settings to share best practice.
Ellie Barton
Ellie graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2007 and started working in paediatrics in 2008. Ellie is driven by her passion to learn the best ways to support every individual - so no one is under-estimated or misses opportunities to be the best them they can be.
This journey started in the NHS, working as a band 5 with babies and infants with complex needs as part of a trans-disicplinary team where she worked in closely with speech and language therapists and occupational therapists. She spent 9 years working in Newham, and whilst still in the NHS worked independently with families learning about the impact intensive therapy and gaining a deeper insight into the challenges families face living and growing with neurodisabilities.
Ellie now works with MAES Therapy, treating and teaching on courses in her never ending quest to seek for the best outcomes for children and adults with neurodisabilities.
Ellie finds that being on the APCP London Region Committee gives her opportunities to liaise with others who share her passion and she would love to be able to use the opportunity to close the gaps between disciplines who share our focus.

She has worked in paediatrics for 7 years across acute, community and outpatient services in the private sector, NHS, in the UK and overseas in Singapore. She now works part time as a Band 7 Specialist Children’s Physiotherapist for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and for the community team including special schools in Haringey.

She is currently working as a clinical research physiotherapist at GOSH/ICH.
