The CPIP National Network have had another busy year! Here are some updates of what’s happening.
- CPIP Database 2.0
Work is continuing with Health Informatics Centre (HIC) to update the CPIP database. The aim is to unify the system across all the nations of UK and Ireland and update the underlying structure and content to bring it up to more modern standards.
We are hoping to have a test version up and running soon so all members of the National Network can be given access to put it through its paces, find bugs and make suggestions for improvement. It’s going to be awesome!
- CPIP 2.0 - The 2nd Cerebral Palsy Integrated Pathway UK Meeting
Bookings are now open for the 2nd CPIP UK Meeting which is being held face to face in the beautiful city of Edinburgh on Friday 29th September 2023. This promises to be a fantastic event which should attract a multidisciplinary group of professionals working in this field. The purpose of this meeting will be to examine the evidence, inform and update clinicians, share good practice, facilitate equity of care and identify areas for further research.
There is an early bird offer available if you book before Friday 28th July. See the flyer for details of nearby hotels if you fancy making a weekend of it!
- CPIP Trainers
CPIP National Network continues to support the training of new CPIP trainers via its regional representatives and their local teams. We look annually at the training offered and update the central resources for trainers to use. If you need advice on becoming a CPIP trainer, contact your regional representative. It is now a self-assessed process following the below flow chart. Your regional representatives and local CPIP network should be able to support you with any help you need to meet the competencies. If there are any further questions, then the national network team can be contacted for further support. The regional representative in each area is aware of the trainers in their region so should be able to link you with someone in your locality to help you.

We are keen to continue to meet with interested recruitment sites so welcome a further call for expressions of interest.
We are reaching out to all APCP members involved in the management of children with cerebral palsy.
