Thank you to all those who responded to our survey about Conference options.

When the APCP Execs reluctantly postponed our annual conference in 2020, we all thought that this would be an exception, one of a kind. Surely, life would be back to normal for our international conference in 2021 in London?
It has slowly sunk in however that life might actually not go back to normal in 2021. We all realise that ‘normal’ has changed and that a return to the pre-pandemic life is unlikely yet. We have learned to live with videoconferences, that you can be interactive without travelling to meetings, that there is a huge benefit for the environment and that virtual meetings allow broader participation and can be more inclusive.
We also understand that despite encouraging vaccinations, it will still take many months before people feel confident to socially interact again in large groups, before the infrastructure and logistics to travel around the world are implemented again and before there is sufficient immunity for everyone to be safe.
The APCP Exces have recently met and with all due consideration we do not feel it would be viable to have a face to face conference this autumn and have decided to move towards a virtual option, rather than face having to postpone a second time.
We will be holding our conference over three dates:
Friday 12 November 9.30-14.30
Saturday 20 November 9.30-13.00
Thursday 25 November 13.00- 16.30
We will have a draft programme within the next couple of weeks
