APPI training courses are designed for physiotherapists or those with a physiotherapy degree equivalent, allowing participants to use their existing Physiotherapy knowledge and apply this to the practice of Pilates in the therapy setting.

This course is being offered at a discounted price to APCP members - normal price £527.50 when booking direct with APPI.

Course Overview

This 3-day course will include Level 1 Matwork 2-day course followed by Kids and Teens 1-day course.

Days 1 & 2 - Level 1 Matwork (Foundation)

The first level in the matwork Pilates training series has been designed for those teaching in the rehabilitation setting.  Based on the most up to date evidence in spinal stability, pelvic stability, strength/conditioning and pain - this is the essential Pilates training tool for all health professionals.

This two day course introduces Pilates technique, relevant research and beginner level exercises. APPI have analysed all 34 traditional matwork Pilates exercises, and broken them down into a step by step guide from day one pain right through to elite level sport.  Most importantly, every stage has a clinical reason behind why you should choose that exercise for your client.

  • Pilates as you have never seen it before, the complete programme based on pain, pathology and function.
  • Understand the evidence behind this popular exercise method.
  • Learn the 5 stage rehabilitation programme that is now leading the industry in the UK.
  • Identify how to clinically reason every exercise and incorporate it into your practice.

Day 3 - Kids and teens:

This is a new and exciting one day course applying the APPI Pilates Method principles to different stages of child development.  Physical activity in children helps to prevent obesity, type II diabetes, cardiovascular disease, depression, cancer and ultimately improves musculoskeletal and bone health.

This course is being offered to APCP members at a significantly reduced rate and PLACES ARE LIMITED and so places will only be confirmed once full payment or purchase order is received.

Refunds will not be possible for cancellations received after 24th February 2020.
