  • Caroline Shaw - Highly SpecialisedPaediatric Respiratory Physiotherapist and Helen Cranney - Highly Specialised Paediatric Long Term Ventilation Physiotherapist

This lecture will aim to:

  • Provide an overview of the current best practice in Paediatric Tracheostomy Management including speaking valve use during physical activity.
  • Gain knowledge in the principles of ventilation for Long term Paediatric NIV and tracheostomy ventilated patients.
  • Develop understanding of the considerations and safety issues for physiotherapists treating Tracheostomy and long term ventilated children in the community and in hospital outside of Paediatric critical care.
