Evolving and Established Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Type I

Jane Robinson is an Advanced Paediatric Physiotherapist working in the pain management service at Sheffield Children's Hospital.  She qualified in 1988 from Nottingham School of Physiotherapy and started work at York District Hospital for 4 years.  In 1994 to moved Nether Edge Hospital working as  a musculosketel physiotherapist.  It was here, and in her subsequent post at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital that Jane began to develop an interest in chronic pain management.


She left the NHS in 2002 to work in private practice but continued to develop cognitive behavioural approaches influenced by the emerging work of the PPA, Louis Gifford, David Butler etc. and taught part of the Msc Module at Sheffield Hallam University for several years.


Jane returned to NHS practice in September 2009 and currently works exclusively in paediatric chronic pain working.  She is passionate about communicating information about pain to young people, families, schools and colleagues.
